Anthony Angel is the author of the Moon Gun Sam saga, a literary speculative family saga spanning Luna and Mars in the mid-to-late 25th century. Writing under his Luna Dumu Press imprint, he builds worlds where miracle and machine sit on the same porch — “hopecore, with teeth,” as he puts it, or Heavy Metal meets The Prince of Egypt.
By day, he works as a senior (citizen) software engineer; by night, he drafts from a garage studio in southwest Missouri, several steps and several degrees removed from the front porches his characters call home. He lives there with his wife, Trish, and daughter, Zoe — both early readers of the series, and among its harshest and most trusted critics.
He has been told he has a crazy sense of humor. Or maybe it’s that he’s literally crazy.
The Moon Gun Sam saga follows one family across grief, faith, and the long work of rebuilding — one porch, one meal, one vow at a time.
